Scope

Voltage range: 66 kV to 110 kV

This family covers transmission-class power cables for utility substations, grid reinforcement, and large industrial or renewable projects at 66 kV and 110 kV.

Cables at this level are engineered for the project rather than selected from a table. Conductor size, insulation thickness, metallic screen construction, oversheath type and the screen bonding arrangement are all fixed by the project specification and the system study, so a catalogue range cannot substitute for that work.

To quote we need the system voltage and the neutral earthing arrangement, the required conductor cross-section and the design current, the prospective fault current and its duration, the installation route (trench, duct, tunnel, direct burial or submarine), and the specification you are working to — IEC 60840, GB/T 11017 or a project standard.

Offers in this family are subject to project-level technical review before they are confirmed.

Key characteristics

  • Transmission-class voltages from 66 kV to 110 kV, for utility substations, grid reinforcement and large industrial or renewable connections.
  • Supplied as a project item rather than selected from a table: conductor size, insulation thickness, metallic screen construction, oversheath and the screen bonding arrangement are all fixed by the project specification and its system study.
  • Every quotation is reviewed against the project before it is confirmed.

Size range at a glance

Conductor size at this level is set by the system study rather than by a catalogue. Route length, permissible voltage drop, required transmission capacity, fault rating and the installation method all feed into it, and the answer differs for each project. Give us those inputs and we will size the cable against them rather than offer a range we cannot stand behind.

Manufacturing evidence

110 kV class cable type-tested by a national testing centre

A 64/110 kV, 1 × 1600 mm² copper conductor XLPE cable carrying a corrugated aluminium sheath was type-tested at the National Centre for Testing and Inspection for Electric Cable and Wire. Every item required by IEC 60840:2023 and GB/T 11017.2—2024 was found compliant.

A type test report covers the cable sample tested. It is not a certification of the manufacturer's quality management system.

Construction

Constructions in this family are quoted as engineered items rather than offered as a fixed list of catalogue models, so there is no selection table to publish here. Send the parameters asked for on this page and we will come back with the applicable construction, a data sheet and a price.

Type designations by region

Buyers search for a supplier by the designation their own market uses. The codes listed against each construction above are the designations this family is ordered under in China; each is given for cross-reference only, and is published only where a supporting reference exists.

Type designations are given for cross-reference, so a specification written to IEC, GB, EN, DIN VDE, BS or GOST finds the right construction. Each designation is defined by the standard named beside it. Construction, standard edition and approval route are confirmed against your specification before an order is placed.

To quote we need

Send what you have of the following — a partial enquiry still lets us start, and we will tell you which answers are missing.

  • System voltage and the neutral earthing arrangement
  • Required conductor cross-section and design current
  • Prospective fault current and its duration
  • Installation route — trench, duct, tunnel, direct burial or submarine
  • The specification you work to: IEC 60840, GB/T 11017 or a project standard
  • Quantity and delivery schedule
