Scope
Voltage range: 0.3/0.5 kV to 8.7/10 kV depending on construction
This family covers trailing, reel and fixed cables for mining: longwall shearer leads, continuous miner trailing cables, drill cables, shuttle car and pump supply, mobile substation connections, and the general rubber-sheathed flexibles used around plant.
These are flexibles first. Conductor stranding, insulation and sheath compounds carry repeated reeling, being dragged over rock and continuous flexing — a cable with the right electrical rating but the wrong sheath fails mechanically long before it fails electrically.
Certificate coverage is issued per model family. Send the machine and the duty cycle and we will confirm which certificates apply to that build.
Key characteristics
- Eleven documented constructions, from the 0.3/0.5 kV drill cable (MZ, MZP) up to the 8.7/10 kV mobile machine and metal-shielded monitoring cables (MYPTJ), alongside the general rubber-sheathed flexibles (YQ, YZ, YC).
- EPR insulation under a chloroprene (CR) sheath is standard across the family: it takes the reeling and abrasion duty that a PVC sheath will not.
- Metal-shielded designs (MCP, MCPT, MCPTJ, MYPTJ) put a screen over the core assembly to give a defined path for the monitoring core that the protection scheme uses.
- Cross-sections from 0.75 mm² to 185 mm² across 2 to 12 cores, and power, control and earth cores are combined in one cable for machine connections.
- Covered by mining product safety certificates — see the list on this page.
Size range at a glance
Each size counted above carries its own dimensional and electrical figures in
the tables further down this page. Intermediate sizes are manufactured to order.
Construction
Each entry is identified three ways: an international description,
a construction code naming the material build-up, and a national
type designation given for cross-reference only. Read the code
string left to right — conductor, insulation, then screening,
armour and sheath where fitted.

Type designations by region
Buyers search for a supplier by the designation their own market uses.
The codes listed against each construction above are the designations
this family is ordered under in China; each is given for cross-reference
only, and is published only where a supporting reference exists.
Type designations are given for cross-reference, so a specification written to IEC, GB, EN, DIN VDE, BS or GOST finds the right construction. Each designation is defined by the standard named beside it. Construction, standard edition and approval route are confirmed against your specification before an order is placed.
To quote we need
Send what you have of the following — a partial enquiry still lets us
start, and we will tell you which answers are missing.
- Machine being fed and the duty — trailing, reeling or fixed installation
- Rated voltage of the machine
- Conductor size, and the number of power, control and earth cores
- Whether a metal screen or monitoring core is required
- Any sheath requirement beyond the standard construction
- The standard you work to, the quantity and the drum lengths
