How do PWRs and BWRs differ in generating nuclear electricity?

The main contrast is in their steam systems:   PWRs: Use two water loops. Radioactive primary water transfers heat to non-radioactive secondary water in a steam generator, which then drives turbines.   BWRs: Have a single loop. Water around fuel rods boils directly into steam that powers turbines.   Both use uranium/plutonium fission for heat, turning turbines to generate electricity. Control systems manage neutron release, with lifecycle factors including uranium extraction and waste handling.
