Highly precision-engineered, nationally standardized mining cables deliver reliable power supply to major mining operations.

I.What is a mining cable?

Mining cables are specialized safety cables designed for high-risk underground and surface environments in coal mines, metal mines, and non-metallic mines. All such cables must be flame-retardant and explosion-proof, and require the MA Mining Safety Mark certificate before being used underground, in compliance with stringent national standards including MT 818, GB 12972, and GB 43069 issued by the Hubei Bureau of the National Mine Safety Administration. Underground environments often pose risks of gas and coal dust explosions, along with humidity, frequent compaction, and oil contamination; therefore, ordinary YJV or VV power cables are strictly prohibited as substitutes for mining cables in underground applications.

II. Core Mandatory Safety Features

1.Compulsory flame retardancy: The insulating sheath contains a flame-retardant formulation that prevents sustained flame propagation when burned in bundles, with low smoke emission and low toxicity, thereby preventing flames from igniting gas or coal dust.

2.Explosion-proof and anti-static: Equipped with a shielding and grounding monitoring core to suppress electric sparks; the sheath is anti-static, with its surface static voltage below the gas ignition threshold.

3.Superior mechanical resistance: Resistant to compression, impact, crushing, and tearing; the mobile rubber sleeve version can withstand over 10,000 cycles of repeated bending; the armored version is capable of withstanding heavy pressure and direct burial.

4.Resistant to harsh environments:Withstand corrosion from underground moisture, coal slurry water, and engine oil, ensuring stable operation under extreme temperatures.

5.Regulatory Access: Items without a MA certification are classified as non-compliant prohibited goods, and will face immediate suspension of operations and penalties during safety inspections.

III. Main Categories + Common Models

1.Mine-grade rubber-sheathed flexible cable (the primary choice for mobile equipment)

It features excellent flexibility, allowing repeated dragging and bending, and powers coal mining machines, tunnel boring machines, scraper machines, electric drills, and mobile pumps.

MY: Standard mobile power rubber sheath, available in 0.38/0.66 kV and 0.66/1.14 kV variants for underground low-voltage mobile equipment;

MYPT: Shielded mobile rubber sheath designed for high-gas working faces to suppress electric sparks;

MCP/MCPTJ: High-voltage shielded cable (1.9/3.3 kV) dedicated to coal cutters, featuring thickened sheathing with oil-resistant and tensile properties, equipped with monitoring core;

MZ: Lightweight flexible cable for mine electric drills;

MYQ: Lightweight variant for underground lighting and small handheld devices.

2.Fixed power cables for mining applications (long-distance power transmission in roadways and shafts)

Hardened steel tape/wire armor; suitable for fixed cable trays, direct burial, or shaft installation.

MMV/MVV22:PVC-insulated armored cable for low-voltage fixed distribution systems;

MYJV/MYJV22:Cross-linked XLPE-insulated high-voltage mine cables (6/10 kV, 8.7/10 kV), serving as the main transmission line from ground substations to underground central substations;

MYPTJ:High-voltage shielded armored cable for underground high-voltage power distribution networks.

3.Mining Control/Communication Signal Cable

Transmission control, gas monitoring, voice communication, and surveillance signals.

MKVV/MKVV22:Fire-resistant control cables for mining applications, used for equipment startup/stop operations and protection circuits.

MHYV/MHYVP/MHY32:Mining communication signal cables for gas sensors, underground telephones, and monitoring systems; the armored version is designed for vertical and inclined shafts.

IV. Quick Explanation of Model Letters

M = Mining equipment

Y = Mobile rubber sleeve

C = Coal cutter

P = Shielding mechanism

T = Traction system

J = Monitoring and reinforcement core

Z = Electric drill

Q = Light-duty model

22 = Steel belt armor

32 = Steel wire armor

V. Simple Selection Criteria Distinction

1.For moving or dragging equipment: Select MY/MYPT/MCP flexible rubber cable.

2.For fixed wiring in tunnels and high-voltage power supply in shafts: Select MYJV22 armored rigid cable.

3.For gas monitoring, remote start/stop control, and communication: Select MHYV/MKVV control communication cable.

4. In mines with high gas concentrations or frequent gas outbursts: Must use fully shielded cables with Class A flame retardancy and monitoring cores.
